International students studying in Australia on a student visa must have a valid health insurance for the duration of stay in Australia. This is known as Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
The OSHC covers emergency medical attention through the public health system. For more information on OSHC refer to the Department of Health and Ageing (DOHA) website.
ACMT has an arrangement with NIB and Medibank Private to organize OSHC on behalf of commencing international students for an annual premium. For more information on price of the OSHC please visit NIB or Medibank website on above link.
Commencing students at the time of accepting an offer to study at ACMT must either:
- Pay the initial NIB or Medibank Private premium, or
- Provide evidence that they have current valid OSHC
